They admit it or not, religious factor has been the primary excuse for parents to put their children to a different type of education, which is home school. Judeo-Christian perspective is the main reason to trigger home-school to be great alternative to the private one. However, as the society evolves and people’s points of views have grown broader than ever, homeschooling is no longer merely based on the existence of the mentioned issue.

The reasons and motives are expanding overtime; there are at least four big reasons other than religious issue why people choose this form of education. The followings will be the list with brief explanations.

Relocations

some families are raised from the salary of a job that requires frequent relocations. Such lifestyle makes it hard for children to accommodate the needs of private school. Of course, the curriculum is more or less the same, but adapting to new friends time after time in the earlier years of growth will be very difficult.

Since the main wage earner has specific professions, which force him/her to move from a certain place to another very often within a given period, home schooling is the best alternative after all for the children.

Health issues

many times, homeschooling is not a choice to make, but is necessary to ensure good academic progress for children; such case is triggered by health issues. If a kid were a sufferer of certain medical condition of which he/she cannot attend private school regularly, home schooling would be great alternative to ensure academic progress.

Even better, the family can keep a good treatment for the kid at home with any available resources. Although grade level still counts in any educational form, homeschooling will be more flexible in terms of time and rules so that the teacher can provide the necessary examination anytime the student is ready.

 Budget

in most cases, homeschooling matters do not require as much money as private schools do. This is because the fees are not only for the educational matter. Some things cannot be omitted such as transportation and fund raise. Of course, homeschooling does not need any particular uniform, fees for sport events, and others.

Well-prepared homeschooling can deliver the advantage of private school with fewer budgets required. The curriculum and qualification of the teacher will exceed most people’s expectations. Indeed, the budget needed to help homeschooling may vary, but even the good one will still need less money to spend.

Flexible

as mentioned before, homeschooling is more flexible than private school in terms of time. It means that a student will likely to be in variety of grades in the same year. For example, a student has passed the examination for math, but has not done enough for physics.

In the next session, the student will learn the lesson of math from the next grade and repeat physics from the previous grade. By conducting such method, parents can be sure that their kid will have a strong foundation of every learning phase without even having to eliminate the skill and talent in a particular subject.

Homeschooling has become a promising business nowadays in some countries. Knowing that many reasons trigger the trend, homeschooling will still go well in the long future.
